Implants

 (£1550 for implant fixture placement)

Dental Implant fixtures are artificial replacements for natural tooth roots and can be used in upper and lower jaws.

Dental implants are made of titanium, which is well suited to the human body. They attach to the jawbone and gum tissue to become a stable base for one or more custom artificial replacement teeth, called dental crowns.

Dental implant fixtures can then be used to replace a single tooth or several teeth or even support partial or full dentures. They not only improve your cosmetic appearance, they restore the ability to chew food and help fill out a face that otherwise could look sunken because of missing teeth. Unlike dentures, implants and crowns are permanently fixed and not removed for overnight soaking and cleaning.  (£1350 - £1550 for an implant supported crown manufacture and fitment to your implant fixture).

All treatments need to be tailored for each patient's needs. A treatment plan and specific costs will be provided after initial consultation with Mr Kruger.

Crowns, Bridges & Veneers

(£800 - £950 Crowns)

(£1000 - £1050 Veneers)

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and to improve its appearance. When a crown is cemented into place it encases the entire visible portion of a tooth which lies at and above the gum line.

A crown can restore a broken tooth or a tooth that has been severely worn down, hold together parts of a cracked tooth or cover misshaped/discoloured teeth.

A dental bridge is a false tooth which is used to fill a gap from a missing tooth. Unlike traditional removable dentures, a dental bridge is a permanent fixture as it is anchored to the teeth at one, or both, sides using metal bands held in place by resin or cement.

A veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth either to restore it cosmetically or to protect a damaged one. Veneers are made from either composite or porcelain by a dental laboratory and are bonded onto the tooth surface.

A smile makeover normally consists of a combination of a few of the treatments mentioned in our ‘Dental Treatments’ section.  You may want a brighter or straighter smile, and each patient will want a different result. Some people have always dreamed of having a ‘Hollywood’ bright smile whereas for others a more natural look is desired, we will always advise on the best result for you.

Stained teeth can be whitened, missing teeth can be replaces and broken or chipped teeth can be repaired. You can smile with confidence again.

Teeth Whitening

(£350)

Teeth whitening is one of the easiest ways to improve your appearance. Whiter teeth will not only boost your confidence but also your self-esteem. Drinking coffee, tea, cola or red wine, and can all take a substantial toll on teeth. The results are dull, yellow coloured teeth. Antibiotics can also cause darker grey-coloured stains.

The vast majority of  teeth will benefit from tooth whitening, which is a proven safe and effective way to brighten stained or discoloured teeth.

There are various methods for restoring a bright white smile including porcelain veneers, dental implants, composite bonding and whitening, which is also known as bleaching.

Of all the advances made in dentistry to enhance the appearance of your teeth, whitening is the easiest and least invasive, and effective in most cases. The procedure is safe, simple, and more affordable than ever. Because of these reasons and more, whitening has become very popular.

Dental Phobia or other difficulties

We understand that many patients present with a very real difficulty with regard to having dental treatment. Treatments can be offered at Penridge Dentistry under sedation or at a local private hospital under general anaesthesia.
